FAQ
1. What is ClickFold Plastics?
We are a plastics fabricator with extensive design and prototyping capabilities. We are NOT an engineering firm or industrial design agency. The distinction is important, as we rely on our customers to provide us with specifics about the plastic parts and products they need. We machine and fabricate to our customers' specifications, drawings, or samples. We will assist with material selection and design optimization. However, we can only guarantee materials and workmanship of our parts, since it is typically unknown to us how our parts relate to other components or what the environmental demands on our parts will be. We cannot assume liability for the usefulness or merchantability of our customer's final product. We therefore strongly encourage our customers to test our prototypes and subject them to their actual use, prior to production. Design changes and revised prototypes that may result from such testing will be billable. In most cases our charges for design and prototyping, including iterations, amout to far less than the typical product development or prototyping charges of engineering firms, design or prototyping agencies. In addition, we are ready to produce your parts in production quantities as soon as you approve the prototype.
2. Does ClickFold provide services beyond fabricating plastic parts?
No, our focus is on providing fabricated plastic parts and prototypes as quickly and economically as possible. Rather than trying to do it all, we collaborate with assembly and fullfilmet firms when customers require these kind of services. We will be glad to ship to an assembly or fulfilment firm of your choosing. Here are two that we frequently work with: Assembly Technologies - custom assembly work, circuit board, and cable manufacturing Gaston Electronics - PCB manufacturing, electronics design, and assembly Distribution Technologies - order fulfilment, packaging, third-party distribution
