FAQ
1. Are ClickFold's materials RoHS compliant?
Yes, all our standard inventory ABS grades are RoHS compliant. Check out our Materials page for RoHS compliance documentation on standard ABS and UL94-V0 rated ABS.
2. What do flamability ratings such as UL94-V0 and UL94-HB mean?
Most polymers are flamable. Our materials carry a UL (Underwriter's Laboratories) flamability rating. Our standard ABS materials passes the horizontal burn test for plastics (UL94-HB), while our flame retardant materials comply with the more stringent vertical burn test (UL94-V0).
3. Can plastic shield electro-magnetic interference (EMI)?
A conductive coating can be applied on the plastic to provide an electro-magnetic shield. EMI protection is often an FCC and CE requirement for devices that generate or are sensitive to high-frequeny emissions, which might negatively affect or stem from other electronic devices. We offer a UL recognized EMI coating as an option to meet these requirements. This Nickel-based coating offers effective shielding at an economical price point. Check out our Materials page for more information about our EMI shielding.
